Tom Blyth Biography: Early Life and Losing His Father at Fifteen

Before getting into the Tom Blyth age height girlfriend movies Tv shows details everyone searches for, it helps to know where he actually came from. Tom Keir Blyth was born on February 2, 1995, in Birmingham, England, and grew up in Woodthorpe, a quiet suburb of Nottingham. That Tom Blyth birthday puts his age at 31 as of October 2026. The Tom Blyth family had deep roots in British television: his father, Gavin Blyth, worked as a television producer behind long-running British soaps including Emmerdale and Coronation Street — media was, in a real sense, the family trade, since Tom’s paternal grandfather worked in the industry too. His mother, Charlotte, worked as a careers counselor, the kind of job that gives you an unusually clear-eyed view of how people actually build a working life.

Money was tight for the Tom Blyth family in his early teens, so Blyth took a job delivering newspapers at twelve just to help with expenses. Then, when he was around fifteen, his father died of non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and the loss of Tom Blyth’s father, Gavin Blyth, became the emotional core of his early life. It’s the kind of detail that gets a single sentence in most quick bios, when really it’s the hinge the rest of his story swings on — his mother enrolled him in acting classes shortly after, less as a career plan and more as something to help him process the loss.

The Television Workshop and a Very Good Bet

Ask about Tom Blyth age height girlfriend movies Tv shows and most searches jump straight to The Hunger Games, skipping right past this part. Those grief-driven acting classes turned out to be at Nottingham’s Television Workshop, a program for young people that has, almost improbably, produced a run of major British talent — Bella Ramsey and Felicity Jones both came through it too. Blyth also joined the National Youth Theatre in London, an organization that gave early breaks to Daniel Craig, Helen Mirren, and Kate Winslet. In other words, his mother’s instinct to put him somewhere structured wasn’t a small bet; it was one of the better-informed bets a parent in that position could make.

Moving to New York for Juilliard

Juilliard had apparently been the plan for a while, and no Tom Blyth age height girlfriend movies Tv shows timeline makes sense without this chapter. Tom Blyth’s Juilliard story began when he moved to New York City in 2016 at 21 to audition, and once accepted, spent four years training in Juilliard’s Drama Division before graduating in 2020 — timing that placed his graduation right in the middle of the pandemic’s early chaos. The Tom Blyth and Maya Hawke friendship dates back to this period: she was one of his classmates, he met her at Juilliard auditions, and they stayed close. She would later be cast in a different corner of the same franchise that eventually made him famous.

Small Parts, Then Scott and Sid

His first-ever film credit predates all of that training and most of what shows up under Tom Blyth age height girlfriend movies Tv shows today: an uncredited “Feral Child” in Ridley Scott’s 2010 Robin Hood, alongside Russell Crowe. It’s the kind of blink-and-miss-it debut most actors don’t even list. His first real lead role came in 2018’s Scott and Sid, the earliest of the Tom Blyth movies that critics actually noticed, an autobiographical coming-of-age drama that went on to win a National Film Award for Best British Film — a strong marker that whatever he was doing on screen, it was already working.

Billy the Kid: His First Real Lead

After graduating Juilliard in 2020, Blyth landed a supporting role in HBO’s The Gilded Age (his first Tom Blyth Gilded Age credit) and played Glen Byam Shaw in Terence Davies’ Benediction (2021). Then, in 2022, he took the title role in MGM+’s Billy the Kid, playing the Wild West outlaw across multiple seasons — his first sustained lead role among all the Tom Blyth TV shows, and the credit that anchors the TV side of any Tom Blyth age height girlfriend movies Tv shows search. It’s also what started getting him noticed beyond festival circuits.

Becoming Young Coriolanus Snow

Of everything covered in this Tom Blyth age height girlfriend movies Tv shows guide, this is the role most people actually came here for. It arrived in 2023, and the Tom Blyth Hunger Games casting made him the Hunger Games prequel actor everyone suddenly wanted to know about. Anyone asking who plays young Snow in The Hunger Games got their answer when the Tom Blyth Coriolanus Snow performance hit theaters: young Coriolanus Snow in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, opposite Rachel Zegler, Peter Dinklage, and Viola Davis. Playing the origin story of a character the franchise’s existing fans already knew as a monster is a genuinely difficult acting problem — building sympathy for someone whose entire future is villainy — and Blyth’s performance is largely what critics pointed to when the film outperformed modest expectations.

Overnight, a British actor most casual viewers had never heard of was fielding comparisons to one of the most recognizable antagonists in modern young-adult fiction — and holding his own against it.

Wasteman and Proving He’s Not a One-Franchise Actor

Every actor who breaks out through a huge franchise eventually faces the same question: can they do anything else? For anyone who only knows Tom Blyth age height girlfriend movies Tv shows through his Hunger Games fame, this is the answer. Blyth answered it in 2025 with Wasteman (the Tom Blyth Wasteman role is the one to watch for his range), a bleak British prison drama co-starring David Jonsson, playing Dee, a new inmate whose arrival disrupts the prison’s drug economy. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, then earned a Tom Blyth BIFA nomination for Best Supporting Performance (the Tom Blyth Wasteman BIFA nomination is the biggest award recognition of his career so far) and a BAFTA nomination for Outstanding Debut, before getting a UK release through Lionsgate in February 2026 and a US release that April.

It’s about as far from a young-adult dystopia as a role gets, and that was almost certainly the point. The same year he also led the drama Plainclothes opposite Russell Tovey, which won the Sundance Jury Prize for Best Ensemble, and appeared in Claire Denis’ The Fence.

A Few Good Men: Tom Blyth’s Broadway Debut

The newest chapter in the Tom Blyth A Few Good Men Broadway story is also his stage debut. Blyth plays Lt. Daniel Kaffee, the witty young Navy lawyer at the center of Aaron Sorkin’s courtroom drama, opposite Bradley Whitford as Colonel Jessep. The revival is directed by Michael Arden and runs at Lincoln Center’s Vivian Beaumont Theater, with previews starting October 8, 2026, an official opening on October 29, and a limited run through January 10, 2027.

For an actor who trained at Juilliard, it’s also a homecoming of sorts: the production returns him to Lincoln Center, the same neighborhood where his New York training began. After a franchise, a prison drama, and a Netflix rom-com, a classic Sorkin lead on Broadway is another deliberate step away from being typecast.

His Height and Girlfriend Daniela Norman

This section covers the two most-searched personal details in any Tom Blyth age height girlfriend movies Tv shows query. Tom Blyth’s height is 6 feet (183 cm) — tall enough that it’s never come up as a casting limitation, and unremarkable enough that almost none of his interviews dwell on it. His romantic life is more interesting. The answer to the Tom Blyth girlfriend question is Daniela Norman, a London-born actress and dancer. The two started dating in 2025, made their red carpet debut together in September 2025, and have since been photographed at events including the UK premiere of Wasteman. Blyth has still never discussed her in interviews, and she mostly shows up on social media rather than in his press. For someone whose face is now recognizable from a billion-dollar franchise, that’s a genuinely unusual level of discipline about what stays private.

Tom Blyth’s Net Worth

Money is the part every Tom Blyth age height girlfriend movies Tv shows search eventually circles back to, and it comes with the usual disclaimer: figures vary, and none are officially confirmed. Estimates of Tom Blyth’s net worth circulating online generally sit somewhere in the low millions, reflecting a résumé still weighted toward a single franchise role and a handful of smaller, prestige-adjacent films rather than years of blockbuster paydays.

His actual income streams are clearer than the total: a Hunger Games salary, television work on Billy the Kid across multiple seasons, and fees from smaller films like Wasteman and Bull Run that trade box-office scale for critical credibility.

What’s Next for Tom Blyth

Anyone keeping tabs on Tom Blyth age height girlfriend movies Tv shows updates should watch this space closely: with Wasteman now in wide theatrical release and Tom Blyth’s People We Meet on Vacation role (Alex Nilsen in Netflix’s Emily Henry adaptation, released January 9, 2026, opposite Emily Bader) adding a romantic-comedy credit to a résumé that’s otherwise leaned dark and dramatic, Blyth looks to be doing exactly what a smart post-franchise career requires — proving range before the industry decides he’s only good for one kind of role. Given how deliberately he’s built everything up to this point — the Television Workshop, Juilliard, the slow climb through supporting parts — betting he’ll keep making calculated choices rather than obvious ones seems like the safer bet. The next big test is the Broadway run of A Few Good Men, which begins previews on October 8, 2026.
